EMR (Electronic Medical Records)
Ten years ago, analysts predicted an electronic model of healthcare within the next decade. Although health care still isn't completely paperless, we have made significant strides toward EMR. We have learned that costs, resistance to change, HIPAA Compliance, and a host of other barriers have kept health care from implementing "pure" electronic records. QPS has partnered with SRS Software, a document-based Electronic Medical Records System. The system allows providers to document visits in the manner they are accustomed. Notes are scanned and stored in a secure central database and are accessible 24/7 from the office, hospital or home. With SRS, QPS is significantly reducing the amount of storage space and time required to access paper records, while providing a secure, easy-to-use system that streamlines operations.
